Purpose

Until now, there is no diagnostic or preventative drugs for tryptophan metabolic disorder. So we are focusing at;

 1. Developing a new direct screening method of chemicals that target on the aggregated tau on AD brain.

 2. Searching the inhibiting chemicals of IDO and TDO, the rate-limiting enzymes of tryptophan metabolism.

Abstract

  We have obtained a licence to use the 200 thousand chemicals library of Open Innovation Center for Drug Discovery, Tokyo Univ. We are studying on the optimum setting for analysis on MALDI/TOF-MS (Mass spectrometry) system to get parental ions.

  The brain samples are obtained from Tokyo Metropolitan Geriatoric Hospital, and started the pathological analysis.

  Also we are screening the inhibitors of IDO and TDO.
