Short version of the NCGG-HEPOP 2020 [ Always HEPOP! ] has been uploaded on the website.

 [ Always HEPOP! ]

With the advent of the COVID-19 pandemic, concerns have been raised that the number of older people who have become inactive in their daily lives and have reduced mental and physical functions may increase as people refrain from spending time outdoors and social interaction.  To help older people live as healthy and active as possible under such circumstances, the National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology (NCGG) and Kinjyo University have jointly published a guide to activities at home, the Home Exercise Program for Older People (NCGG-HEPOP) 2020 in May 2020. Currently, the development of treatments and vaccines for COVID-19 is still on the way, and the future influence of a sedentary lifestyle is anticipated.  Considering these situations, we have developed the short version of NCGG-HEPOP,  <Always HEPOP!>, to maintain a healthy lifestyle safely as much as possible at home, at any time, without any special device.

There are 4 types of packages listed in <Always HEPOP!>. Please follow the HEPOP flowchart of NCGG-HEPOP 2020 to choose the package that is suitable to you. Each package is designed to complete the exercise in about 10 minutes. We would appreciate it if you could print out the necessary parts, attach them to the wall, or place them on the bedside, and feel free to engage in exercise with consideration for safety.

The NCGG-HEPOP 2020 also describes points to note during exercising and activities. Please be sure to check these points before exercise. We sincerely hope that you will use <Always HEPOP!> and continue to have a healthy and prosperous life as much as possible.
