Privacy Policy for Overseas Training Application Form
The Education and Innovation Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology (hereinafter referred to as the "Center") under the National Center for Geriatrics and Gerontology (NCGG) recognizes the importance of protecting personal information collected through the Overseas Training Application Form (hereinafter referred to as the "application form"). To ensure the security of this information, the Center will handle it in accordance with the following principles:
1. Definition of Personal Information Collected Through the Application Form
Personal information collected through the application form (hereinafter referred to as "personal information") refers to the following information:
- Applicant's name, middle name, occupation, job title, nationality, references, email address, and area(s) of expertise, etc.
- Applicant's resume (including name, date of birth, gender, phone number, address, employment history, educational background, qualifications, licenses, etc.)
2. Purpose of Use
Personal information will be used solely for training-related purposes, such as:
- Communication with applicants/trainees
- Creation of name tags and issuance of security cards
- Response to inquiries
The Center will not provide personal information to third parties without the consent of the trainee.
However, exceptions may be made in the following cases:
- When it is required by law
- When it is necessary to protect a person's life, body, or property, and obtaining consent from the person concerned is difficult
- When it is particularly necessary for the improvement of public health or the promotion of the sound development of children, and obtaining consent from the person concerned is difficult
- When it is necessary for cooperation with a national agency, local government, or with their representatives authorized to perform duties prescribed by law, and obtaining consent from the person concerned is likely to hinder the performance of these duties
3. Consequences of Not Providing Personal Information
If you fail to provide some or all of the required personal information, you may not be eligible to participate in the training program.
4. Management of Personal Information
The Center will take appropriate and reasonable security measures to protect your personal information from leakage, disclosure, loss, or damage.
5. Disclosure of Personal Information
Regarding the disclosure, correction, addition, deletion, suspension of use, erasure, or suspension of provision to a third party (hereinafter referred to as “personal information handling requests ”) of the personal information entrusted to us, we will handle it as follows:
- We will respond to personal information handling requests until the end of the fiscal year in which you participated in the training. Please note that in the case of deletion, disposal, or erasure, we may not be able to continue providing services related to the training.
- Even after the above period has passed, we will respond to personal information handling requests only for up to one year from the end of the fiscal year.
- If you wish to make a personal information handling request, please contact us by phone. When making such a request, we may ask you to provide us with a copy of a document that can verify your identity (such as a basic resident registration card, passport, or driver’s license).
